Scientific Conference with International Participation
“Artificial Intelligence in Education”

A Scientific Conference with International Participation entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Education” will be held in Belgrade on 11 December 2026.

The Conference is organised by the Union of Engineers and Technicians of Serbia and the Engineering Academy of Serbia, in co-organisation with the Faculty of Organisational Sciences, University of Belgrade; the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad; the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Niš; the Technical Faculty “Mihajlo Pupin”, Zrenjanin, University of Novi Sad; and the Institute of Technology of Nuclear and Other Mineral Raw Materials (ITNMS), Belgrade.

The Conference is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming education and becoming the foundation of a new educational paradigm, Education 4.0 and 5.0. Modern educational environments incorporate digital and intelligent technologies that enable personalised learning, adaptive learning content, and real-time analysis of students’ progress. Research indicates that 60% of teachers already use AI in the classroom, while 55% report that it has improved learning outcomes. AI makes it possible for every pupil and student to learn at their own pace, receive immediate feedback, and focus on areas that require further improvement.

The aim of the Conference is to present the current state of development and emerging trends in the application of AI in education worldwide, across the region, and in the Republic of Serbia. Education 4.0/5.0 requires the adaptation of curricula, the development of digital competencies among teachers and students, and the adoption of ethical guidelines ensuring that AI supports rather than replaces educators, teachers, and professors.

The Conference will bring together researchers, teaching and non-teaching staff, decision-makers, and representatives of educational institutions and systems to discuss the challenges and opportunities that AI brings to education.
